Keep it Neat and Clean!

Watch out for things such as the placement of garbage cans or junk piles in the health direction  (east location) of your space. Also, I can’t help but reemphasize how important it is to keep things tidy for feng shui purposes. Make sure that you keep the east corners of your space orderly to prevent negative chi from building up and causing your health luck to go stale.

Protect Against Poison Arrows

Drawers or nightstands with sharp corners can create “poison arrows” and may bring harm or injury to the body. It’s best to purchase furniture with rounded corners. However, if you have furniture with sharp corners, consider covering with a decorative cloth.

Locate Lucky Health Direction

It is crucial to avoid sleeping in an unlucky direction as well as to be mindful of unlucky annual flying stars. One major principle of feng shui is that each individual has lucky and unlucky directions and locations, including a personal direction best for health luck. You can easily determined your lucky health direction with the Pa Kua Lo Shu Formula or Kua Number Formula and boost the energy of that sector’s element. You can check out this short video to determine your kua number.

Sleep Better

Sleep is vital for one’s health. If you are constantly feeling tired and ill, you must evaluate the feng shui of your bedroom. Be mindful of beams over your head or sleeping next to a toilet wall as they may be impacting your energy. Check out my prior post on feng shui tips to improve your sleep.

Add Symbols of Health

In classical Feng Shui, symbols are very important, especially if they help generate positive vibes of good health via the pleasant connection they provide their owners. Boost the chi in your health sector and bedroom by adding symbols of health. My personal favorites include the wu lou, bamboo, and peaches.

Boost the East Sector

In addition to placing health symbols, you should consider placing a fountain in the east sector of your property to boost health luck. The fountain doesn’t need to be super fancy. There are many simple and afforable table fountains avaible for the purchase these days. Be mindful not to place any fountains in the bedroom, bathrooms, kitchens, or below a staircase, even if they are in “good” locations as these can create stress and negatively impact health and wealth.

Final Thoughts

I always associate the beginning of the lunar new year as a period of renewal. I am a strong believer that one’s health is one’s wealth. What’s the point of having fame, prosperity, and good relationships but have bad health? Remember that feng shui is 1/3 of your overall luck, so in addition to implementing these feng shui health tips, remember to also exercise and maintain a balance diet!
