Having trouble finding love? Or is your existing relationship in trouble or going nowhere? Here are 8 Tips To Improve Your Love & Romance Luck with feng shui:

Don’t Let it Go Down the Drain!

As the southwest corner of your home is the love and relationship area, having toilets in this sector is not ideal. When located in the southwest, toilets can severely impact your luck when it comes to finding love and can even drain your current relationships.

Fear not – there are a few solutions for this! Since the southwest is associated with the earth element, consider the following solutions if your bathroom and toilet are in the southwest:

  • Keep the toilet seat covered.
  • Place a large stone on top of the toilet to negate negative chi.
  • Hang a windchime with 5 rods near the toilet.
  • If you have an extra bathroom, avoid utilizing this toilet.

Also place red flowers and plants in the bathroom to boost the chi in this sector.

Fire it Up

Since the Southwest is associated with the earth element, and fire helps generate earth, boost the sector with colors, shapes, and materials that symbolize earth or fire. Candles, lanterns, lamps, crystals, firepits, and fireplaces are fantastic ways to boost your love and romance area.

You can also treat each space in your home (e.g. living room, dining room, etc.) as its own bagua and activate the love and relationship corners of each individual space.

Consider introducing orange, peach, red or pinkish hues.  Orange and pink symbolizes love, marriage, romance. Peach is especially auspicious for single woman seeking a solid hubby (don’t utilize peach if you are married or already in a serious relationship, it can cause your love one to cheat). You can also get creative and consider implementing triangular patterns that symbolize fire to boost the earth energy of this sector.

The key is balance – don’t over do it. Note for bedrooms it’s not recommended to use too much bright colors such as red as this color is very yang (or strong) and will not create a relaxing environment for sleep.

Add Symbols of Love

In classical Feng Shui, symbols are very important, especially if they help generate positive vibes of love and romance via the pleasant connection they provide their owners. Boost the chi in your love sector by adding symbols of love, whether it be images, figures, traditional or modern. Some of my favorite are:

  • Peonies – If you are single and looking for love, this flower is the ultimate symbol of love and romance.
  • Mandarin ducks – Place a pair of these as they represent stability and mate for life.
  • Candles – Consider putting some candles next to your bed to heat things up.
  • Double happiness – Place this symbol as it represents joy.
  • Hearts – Symbolize romance, love.
  • Red ribbons – Place these ribbons in the interior side of your bedroom door’s handle or knob to draw a stable and genuine person to your life.
  • Crystals – Place them to activate romance, marriage, and relationship luck.

Declutter

Get rid of mementos from prior relationships. What’s past is past! Also, make sure that you keep the southwest corners of your space tidy to avoid negative chi from building up and causing your relationship luck to go stale.

I have witnessed several successful and gorgeous friends have trouble finding love and lasting relationships over the years. On the outside, they appeared all put together, but when I visited their home or sat in their car, I realized they were filthy and messy. How can you attract or keep love or romance when you don’t take care of yourself and your own personal effects?

Once they decluttered and brought order to their personal space, I noticed a dramatic change in their relationship luck. Of course, they had to put effort into their relationships as well, but this tip definitely helped.

Beware of Water

Make sure not to have any water features (e.g. fountains, aquariums) in the bedroom as this disrupts the earth chi and can cause serious relationship and marital issues.

Also, avoid placing water features such as a fountain near the right side of your home, even if it’s in the southwest, as this is said to promote unfaithful relationships.

No Mirrors

Having mirrors in your bedroom are a definite feng shui no-no. This is especially true if it reflects your bed. Televisions also count as “mirrors” as the screen reflects. So make sure you remove these items from your bedroom or cover them as they may cause your romance to split.

Repair it

Broken things, especially in the Southwest corners of your space with cause even strong relationships to break. If it’s broken, repair it or get rid of it!

Find Your Lucky Romance Direction

One major principle of feng shui is that each individual has lucky and unlucky directions and locations. A person has a personal direction that is best for love and relationship luck. You can easily determine your lucky romance direction via the Pa Kua Lo Shu Formula or Kua Number Formula and boost the energy of that sector’s element. Check out this short video to determine your kua number.
